Mdjed Heru Ka N Ma'at

is an independent Kemetologist. He is a 30+ year member of ASCAC which stands for the Association for the Study of Classical African Civilizations. He has also spent 15 years as an attendee of the First World Alliance lecture forum, where he absorbed the teachings of numerous scholars and professors. He has completed a course of study with renowned Kemetologist Dr. Yosef Ben-Jochannan which included several cultural and educational tours to Egypt and Nubia. He has also taken many trips to West Afrika. He is a graduate of the Per Ankh Academy for Kemetic studies, founded and taught by Professor Kaba Hiawatha Kamene. His membership in ASCAC has afforded him the opportunity to conduct intensive research into the ancient African civilizations of Kush, Kemet, Ta-Seti, and Sumer.

Mdjed Heru has served as a member and facilitator of the Queens Study Group and the Manhattan Study Group where he continues to serve as facilitator. He has read many books, which has given him a deeper understanding and a richer appreciation for those ancient African ancestors who brought their spiritually inspired societies to every corner of the globe.

He has been trained by Mfundishi Jhutyms Hasan Salim in the reading and translation of Medu Netcher, which is now and will forever be part of his life.

Mdjed Heru has taught Staff Development at the John Henrik Clarke-ASCAC Institute for Youth. Staff Development provides training for those facilitators who wish to make our school-age-youth knowledgeable of the impact that African cultures and civilizations have had on the world stage.
